Prismm Is Shutting Down: Sunset Timeline & Free Migration for Wedding Venues

The short answer: Prismm, the floor plan and event-design tool formerly known as Allseated, was acquired by Cvent in April 2025, and the standalone Prismm platform is scheduled to sunset on December 31, 2026. The phase-out has already begun: the ability to create new Prismm events is ending on an account-by-account basis between July 8 and September 30, Prismm becomes view-and-export-only on October 1, and events dated before January 1, 2022 will not remain accessible after the transition. Cvent is moving customers to Cvent Event Diagramming (formerly Social Tables), but templates, favorites, and object groups do not move with them.

Seated With Love offers wedding venues a different path: a floor plan tool that is free for venues, with a done-for-you rebuild of your existing plans, templates, and inventory, also free, typically delivered within two weeks.

What happened to Allseated?

Allseated rebranded as Prismm in January 2024. In April 2025, Cvent acquired Prismm; terms were not disclosed. Cvent already owned a diagramming product, Social Tables, now called Cvent Event Diagramming, and that is where Prismm customers are being migrated.

Is Prismm being discontinued?

Yes, as a standalone platform. Per Cvent's own migration resources, the timeline is:

• July 8 – September 30, 2026: the ability to create new Prismm events ends, with each account notified at least 30 days before its cutoff
• October 1, 2026: Prismm becomes view-and-export-only
• December 31, 2026: prismm.com access and support end

Cvent says existing customers' plans and pricing will not change through the migration, and it has said it will continue offering event-based plans for venue clients. The disruption is not primarily about price. It is about the migration itself.

What actually happens to my floor plans and templates?

This is the part that matters for a working venue, straight from Cvent's migration FAQ:

• Prismm events dated January 1, 2022 or later remain viewable in Cvent Event Diagramming
• Events older than January 1, 2022 will not be accessible and must be exported before the shutdown
• Templates, favorite objects, and groups will not be moved and must be recreated by hand in the new tool

For a venue with years of refined layouts, a tuned inventory of tables and chairs, and templates for every package it sells, "the events move but the templates do not" means rebuilding the working core of the tool from scratch, during wedding season, inside a product with a corporate-events lineage.

What a wedding venue needs in a replacement

The floor plan workflow comes down to the same list at nearly every venue:

• Templates for your standard layouts that every new event starts from
• Your real inventory: your tables, chairs, arches, and bars, with counts tracked so a layout cannot exceed what you own
• Fast editing: copy and paste, exact-spacing row distribution, minimum-distance warnings, chair-level control per table
• A couple-facing view where couples preview layouts, choose one, or edit within your rules, with anything they add tracked separately from your inventory
• Clean handoff: printable, shareable plans your team and vendors work from on event day

How the migration to Seated With Love works

The gap nobody else fills is not the software. It is the labor of reconstruction. So we do it for you:

Do I have to switch my whole stack?

No. The platform is modular. Turn on only the floor plan tool; couples never see features you leave off. Venues that start with floor plans tend to turn on the wedding website, RSVP sync, and registry later because they live under one roof, but nothing requires it.
